Amazing things ... #2 Military face mask

Amazing Things - #2

Number 2 is a face mask (of the beauty treatment type) in a military camouflage design...

I guess this is for the Korean Alpha male who is concious that he may damage his masculinity but still wants a clear complexion...  Get a facial AND still look MANLY!!!

ESL GAME: Dice roll speak

Divide the class into teams.

Write a 6 item list the board. e.g.

  1.  I get up at 7.
  2.  I have lunch at 12.
  3.  I come home at 3.
  4.  I have dinner at 8
  5.  I take a shower at 9.
  6.  I go to bed at 10.

The team that rolls reads the sentence that they rolled.
The other teams should ask the question e.g. What time do you get up?
Cross out the sentence for that team.
If they roll a number that they already crossed out the next team has their turn. The first team to cross out all their sentences wins...

Amazing Things... #1 A real log burner

I will write (plan to) a weekly blog post about amazing (and hopefully funny)  things that are offered for sale in korea.

Amazing Things - #1

Number one is a camp log burner.. the makers too the translated meaning literally and made a log into a burner...

Light the fuse and off we go!!!

Actually I think this is awesome... no waste and a natural product... would love to cook on one of these... Until it burns through one side and your noodles spill into your lap...

post lasek 5 days

5 days since my lasek and I have been back to have the lenses taken out. The lenses were to protect and help healing...  It was a bit sore when they came out and my right eye was a bit itchy afterwards.

Sight is getting better but I hope that by next week it is fully recovered.

Here are some pictures

Having my eyeballs cut and lasered...

So today I will have laser eye surgery... at the moment I am just on my way to work, as normal. I will leave work 1hr early and go home for a quick shower... then at 5:30 they will do the operation.
I have been exited all week at the prospect of restored vision, but also aware that afterwards it is going to hurt... a lot.
But, since last night I have been feeling a bit nervous. When you think of the procedure; cutting the eye ball with a knife then doing some fancy shit with a laser it is quite horrifying. But I am thankful my procedure is not the one where they scrub the eyeball to wear down the cornea... that physically makes me sick, to think about!
They recovery time is expected to be a couple of days, which is good as I am back to work on monday and have an open class on tuesday!

The EYE...

Well hopefully next time I write this blog I can do it with out glassess and will be fully recovered from the surgery...

Parent's day on Parents' day....

On Wednesday I had the afternoon off work to attend Harvey's School parent's day and open class.  It was also Parents' day.

It was great to be able to attend as I missed the previous ones as I had to work!

Not only was I the only foreigner (외국인) but I was also the only Daddy...

Here is my son respectfully singing to me...
